About…

Robin Rome is a printmaker, visual anthropologist, and art educator living almost all of her life in San Francisco–minus 8 years living in Mexico City and an Ohio childhood. She is a part of Graphic Arts Workshop in Dogpatch, printing there, and spends a lot of time in the Cove and party planning at the DC.

Her sketchbook captures her surroundings, and these small drawings from her sketchbook take in vistas during post-swim warm-ups in the Corona-bleacher-swim- era. They are very still, in contrast to the bustle and gesture she looks for and infuses in her prints and paintings. Finding connections with ideas and images is her mission as a visual artist.
